Q: How can I tell what speed a network interface is using in Linux?
A: Ethtool is a simple command for this, for example:
ethtool eth0
Ethtool can also be used to set duplex, speed, autonegotiation, and other network interface settings, both for ethernet ETH and wireless WLAN devices.
